i went into junie’s room this morning and he was dead.
he was lying on his side, by the door.
he seemed weak yesterday and slept a lot, but then played a little last night.
less than 12 hours later, he was dead.
geezus.
maybe it was too soon.
all i know is i don’t want another cat right away.
what a horrible feeling this is.

i was reading that parasites can kill kittens pretty easily. he had tapeworms, which we treated, but something else must have gotten him.

That is SO awful! I am so sorry, I can barely imagine how badly you must feel.
If it’s any comfort at all, he did spend these last few days in comfort, with plenty of food and love and fun.
